The Fujiwara family began as swordsmiths over 130 years ago. Teruyasu Fujiwara, 4th generation master blacksmith, turned to making kitchen knives in order to regain the family’s previous glory.
Its knives are well known for their hardness and their ability to take a very sharp edge. These blades are considered some of the sharpest on the planet.
Fujiwara-San is based in Tokyo, his work is highly prized for its superior heat treatment which results in a very sharp thread. He invented stainless steel-coated carbon steel knives, a type of knife that is still growing in popularity even today.
