Description
This Ohira Asagi natural stone can be used both as the last stone of your sharpening session for a razor cut, but also as a polishing stone to perform a kasumi finish on your blade.
Features
This Ohira Asagi is one of the most popular natural finishing stones. We get these stones from the Imanishi Stone Company in Kyoto and Mr. Imanishi evaluates these stones and grades them before putting his stamp on them. This stone is fine with an approximate grit of around 8000-10000.
Natural stones wear much more slowly than synthetic stones, with its thickness this stone can easily last several decades. The stone has a completely smooth surface, with a good feeling of hardness. It cuts very quickly and the finish left on the blade is very even.
This stone can be used for knives, razors and wood chisels.
